The EU is India's largest
export destination and has a share of over 24% in her
total exports. India's exports to EU in 2003 were Euros
13.30 bn.

India was 16th largest
importer of EU's products and had a share of 1.46% in
EU's global exports. India's imports were worth Euros
14.20 bn. (2003 figures) |

members continue to observe their membership to organisations/treaties
they are members of/signatories to. |
A member of: United Nations,
Commonwealth of Nations,
Non-Aligned Movement, Group of 20 developing nations,
Group of 33, among other organisations/groupings.

played a critical role in creating new international structures,
including the World Trade Organization (WTO). The WTO, which
came into existence from January 1, 1995 has redrawn the contours

continues to work closely with India to meet the Millennium
Development Goals. |

of the South Asian Free Trade Association.

Euro-India ICT Co-operation
Initiative
The Euro-India ICT Co-operation initiative, supported by the
European Commission DG Information Society & Media, targets
key European & Indian industry managers, project managers,
policy experts and RTD researchers who are interested in developing
Euro-India co-operation opportunities in the field of ICT.
The initiative offers a series of ICT topic specific workshops
and events as well as a dynamic portal with a Euro-India ICT
community database providing face-to-face and virtual co-operation
platforms to interested parties. To register as a community
