About the Project
INCITE (Indian Networks Co-operation in Information Society Technology with Europe) wants to facilitate IT cooperation between India and Europe in the R&D sector. Its mission is to spread awareness on the access to the IST funding programme of the European Commission to the Indian IT community and to support the creation of a National Contact Point (NCP) as a permanent body linking the IT community of India to the activities of the IST programme.
The INCITE project started in June 2005 and will run until May 2007, with three ambitious objectives:
Helping Indian organisations access and benefit from the EU funding to research in the ICT sector
Promoting IT co-operation at research level between India and the European Union
Setting up a permanent platform for co-operation between India and the European Union
To see the calendar of workshops on EU funding to research and development in the ICT sector, see the Events section.

INCITE is supported by the European Commission under the FP6 IST Programme.
